So, this weekend I caught a new movie at my local theater, Mutiny with Jason Statham. Now going into the movie, just a day prior, I saw IGN rate the movie a 3/10 and I was like absolutely no way that could be true, especially after seeing the trailer, so I took some of the family and went to see it myself and I got to say, they lied, Mutiny is a clear 7 verging on a 8/10 for me.
Jason Statham, who plays Cole Reed, delivers his action packed performance with finesse as always, even more this time, and the only reason I would give it a score closer to 7 is because though it started slow, I wanted just a little more time developing the relationship with Tibu, played by Ramon Tikaram, which would give more weight to reason behind his actions aboard the Artemis, though discovering the human trafficking is plenty enough reason for anybody, but he didn’t know that going onto the vessel, just that something was amiss, and it was an amiss, that was cleared up with extreme prejudice LOL.
My favorite scene has to be the staircase, every moment seemed like a split second reaction!
