The original Spider-Man Trilogy is a MASTERPIECE

Is it nostalgia or is it truly a masterpiece?

I know I say a lot of things are masterpieces these days, but I watched the original Spider-Man Trilogy, again, this past weekend and I can confirm that it is indeed truly a masterpiece.

The opening music alone is a masterpiece. Danny Elfman pulled it from his soul and the fact the filmmakers, Sam Raimi included, used it and variations of it across all three movies means they even knew it themselves.

I dare say the film series is timeless.

Tobey Maguire played the role so perfectly or maybe it was just because he was so relatable across multiple age ranges, but it was not only just him, everyone just seemed like they were built to make the series almost like you feel what the characters are feeling.

Every film ended with an old school boss fight, from the Green Goblin, to Doc Ock, to the Sandman and the Symbiote, we just don’t have stuff like that recently anymore.

I liked the movies as a kid, as an adult, as Spider-Man was and still is my favorite superhero character. It also could have to do with the fact the movies came right on the tail end of the 90s animated series, which did extremely well at least in my book.
