Here we are again… I said something was amiss the first go around, but who would imagine we’d be here a second time…
After a breakout run, a long disappearance, for no reason, and then a resurgence to near nobody, MultiVersus has announced its going to disappear, again, this time for good.
The news broke on X saying its next season, Season 5, will be the final update. After the season the game will be delisted from all storefronts, but will still be playable offline, whether everything will be unlocked for everyone to enjoy remains to be seen.
MultiVersus was also trending on X, after the announcement earlier in the day, and many were upset, for good reason.
I myself played before the first mysterious disappearance and at the time I said the game may never come back, because a tactic like this was unheard of.
To my surprise it did make its return, but me, like many others did not make the return journey with it, probably because we knew such a day lied ahead.
Warner Bros. has had a terrible run lately in the gaming space, along with a few others and it seems the bloodbath of 2024 is still ongoing as companies are struggling to find their footing.
