I briefly mentioned my favorite trailer in my Mortal Kombat 1 Is Almost Here! article, but now it’s time we talk about the worst trailer…
I’m sure you already know, but in case you don’t, but you do, the Megan Fox Becomes Nitara Trailer is the worst.
Let me explain. For some odd reason this is the first trailer they actually showed the voice actor. Now I’ve got nothing against Ms. Fox, don’t even know much about her, but I would be lying if I didn’t say it was a little weird.
NetherRealm hyped up all the other trailers with gameplay and various scenes from the story, but when we arrived here, shortly after the live action Bautista trailer, it was like someone started slipping, on purpose.
We got gameplay of Nitara ripping people’s throats out and then we cut to a fully dressed in pink Megan Fox. I don’t pretend to have any fashion sense, but like that doesn’t even remotely go together right?
The voice acting sounds solid and the gameplay is solid, but it seems like the video editor had beef with her or something, because it looks like the internet is having a stroke when they cut to her. The framerate and video quality drops and we’re unwillingly transported to the 1960s.
Someone did that on purpose, you can’t fool me. 🤣
