Where have I been? Final Fantasy and Magic: The Gathering are doing a collaboration I’m just finding out about and one of my favorite characters of all time Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII is striking her way into the card game.
I haven’t played Magic or bought cards in a long while, but look at these cards, Lightning, Army of One, there’s no way, I have to have them!!!
They even got Final Fantasy XIII’s Art Director, Isamu Kamikokuryo the GOAT himself to illustrate one of the cards that’s just absolutely wild.
It’s not just Lightning either but a slew of characters from across the series. Noctis, Prince of Lucis from Final Fantasy XV is another one I’m interested in as these characters hold a special place in my heart.
You best believe these cards are going to be worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the future.
The new set is launching on June 13, 2025 and it can’t get here quick enough, I hope I’m able to at least get one and encase it for display, just like my original Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes White Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh!
