I’ve finally finished Detroit: Become Human, for the first time, and I’ve noticed a pattern…
Every Deviant I met over the course of the game, other than Daniel, I understood why they killed the humans they killed because those humans were the worst of humanity. It’s sad… You can see and piece all the evidence together through Connor and literally have no doubt why the Deviant Androids felt they had to turn to murder.
Speaking of Connor, his and Kara‘s stories were the absolute best to me, but Markus’s story just felt out of place… There was just something missing compared to the other two and it wasn’t as interesting until the very end of the game.
Detroit: Become Human for some reason also felt like it should have ended way earlier than it did. It felt like some sections were made to pad time, like most games, which honestly took away from the story.
I completed the game, for the first time, and it only took around 12 hours, which already doesn’t seem like much to some people, but it’s plenty trust me, honestly too much because of the filler.
The best part of the entire game though, is the Main Menu, seeing Android Chloe and her talking every time I started the game up, just made me weirdly feel things I can’t really explain… It was like the feelings when I played Final Fantasy VII Remake, for the first time, you just can’t explain it, but you know it’s there.
I see why Detroit: Become Human got all those 9/10 ratings though, overall, if you managed to unfortunately push through the filler, the game is truly great.
We managed to take Detroit, we are free, long live the Androids!
