The Angel Gene… What!?
There is no such thing!
Hear me out, if there is a Devil Gene, why not an Angel Gene?
Who’s the source?
Seeing that Jin is the only one in history who’s activated it with the help of the once thought deceased, I mean missing, Mother Jun has to be the source.
That can’t be possible?
But yet it may have been confirmed in Tekken 8 itself…
During my research I found out there was a character called Angel in Tekken 2.
“Angel is a palette swap of Devil in Tekken 2.” – Tekken Wiki
She’s a palette swap, but yet had her own ending in Tekken 2 and we also haven’t seen her since said game as well.
You know who we also haven’t seen since Tekken 2?
Mother Jun…
I’m getting off topic, but seeing that such a character like Angel existed, would it really be a stretch that the Angel Gene might actually exist?
I get what you are saying, but wouldn’t we have seen Mother Jun go Saint Seiya as well since she’s the source of said power?
Get this she actually did. We never saw her full fight with Ogre, only Jin’s accounts of the battle and in Tekken 8 Jun’s special story her vague retelling of the battle. She claims she went into a deep sleep after the said battle and from what I gather she had to be sleeping for at least 10+ years.
What could cause such a sleep?
Her unlocking and using the Angel Gene’s power.
If that’s the case why didn’t Jin go into a deep sleep after the battle with Kazuya?
“We’ve lost the devil’s power. We’re nothing but a couple of humans now, you and I.” – Jin Kazama (Tekken 8) (2024)
Because my friends, don’t forget Jin also had the Devil Gene at the time, meaning the same conditions would be counteracted by said gene and also don’t forget the fact Reina has unlocked the Devil Gene, making her the only person alive with the Devil’s power.
With Jin and Kazuya’s power officially gone, the only person who could take on Reina is yes you’ve guessed it, the reawakened Mother Jun who probably still has her Angel Gene’s power and just doesn’t know it yet…
