You wouldn’t have thought it possible, there was absolutely no way to mess this up. You had less than a job, because the job was already done, all you had to do was port over a few battles…
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, may go down as the worst entry in the history of the series.
Speaking of history, History Mode, on the surface, seemed like no wrong could be done here, but boy was I wrong. Legit the worse mode in the game, it does port over a few battles, but it’s missing some of the major boss battles, which were turned into regular old battles that seems like it was ported from Ninja Storm 4’s Adventure Mode Memory Fragment battles.
If we were already porting from there, why not port the rest from the other previous games?
Also, in my previous article, Hero and Avenger Didn’t Deserve This!!!, I mentioned I couldn’t forgive them for leaving out the legendary battle. It wasn’t the only one either…
Another major battle left out was, Battle of the Sage God, Jiraiya VS Pain from Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. Like why on earth would you do such a thing? Called, Mystery of the Six Paths of Pain, in Storm Connections, this battle was turned into a regular battle, but hey at least they have voice lines this time around right? As if they didn’t have them in the original game made 13 years ago now…
That’s not the only problem, most of the boss battles were split into 2 or 3 battles when they used to only be one. I assume to make it look like there was more in the game mode than it actually was.
And there is even more, as I mentioned in, Bandai Namco/CyberConnect2 – False Advertising, there is no hiding that a few of the battles were annoying as they were in previous titles, but Storm Connections goes the extra mile and makes them even worse.
I’m honestly surprised I haven’t heard anything about a Class Action Lawsuit, as normally you would when people feel the game lied about what it was, but I’m sure at this rate it’s only a matter of time…
