Is it blood? I guess not…

The Two Uchiha, a Boss Battle between Sasuke and Itachi, originally from Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, renamed, Truth of the Uchiha Clan, made the cut into Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, believe it or not…

But… Once again, as you play the battle, you can’t help but to notice something is amiss.

Censorship…

Near the end of the battle, Itachi walks towards Sasuke as he’s backed into a wall.

In Storm 2, Itachi has blood over the entire palm of his hand and touches Sasuke’s forehead, wiping some of the blood on him, before his final breath.

In Storm Connections, there is nothing on his hand, the blood has magically disappeared… Itachi touches Sasuke’s forehead and faded black streaks are all you see.

Not only that, but if you look at the two images above, you’ll notice Sasuke looks clean as a whistle, even the scuff marks were even reduced in Storm Connections.

And it gets even worse! Itachi’s Susanoo looks pre-rendered in Storm Connections, making it look worse than it did in Storm 2!

It may seem like nothing to a newcomer, but for a battle that was previously made over 13 years ago, veteran players can’t help but to notice these differences…

Just looking at the two Susanoo images, you can also see a massive quality drop. Why does a game, once again, made 13 years ago, graphically look better than the new one? That’s insane!

So, CyberConnect2 will waste resources to censor blood, reduce scuff marks, downgrade the resolution of a Susanoo, and downgrade the graphical quality, but won’t use those same resources to actually make the game great?
