Side Missions are a Plague

Video games have become so advanced that it’s destroying itself. It’s been no secret, but a certain element has doubled down and been plaguing new games in full force since the dawn of the PS3 era.

Side Missions… I’m no stranger to these missions, as I myself found all 100 feathers in Assassin’s Creed II and I think back, like why? Now that I’m in my late twenties more and more games I play have more and more side missions and I may have said this before, but I’m not going to lie, I run straight past them. Cyberpunk 2077… Like 100+ side missions should not be the selling point of your game, you had Keanu Reeves in the main story for goodness sake.

Yes, I understand that some people like side missions as Bethesda games are also full to the brim of them, but I personally do not. I think they are ruining gaming along with a slew of other issues. As if $70 paid games going the battle pass route, like Diablo IV or 2K24, wasn’t bad enough. What on Earth is happening these days?
