Valve had one of its biggest reveals since the Steam Deck, showcasing three new devices, the Steam Controller, Steam Machine, advertised as a powerful gaming PC, and the Steam Frame, a Virtual Reality Headset, in what has become known to many as the Steam Ecosystem.
I don’t really care for the latter two devices, but what did catch my eye was the Steam Controller. Now it’s going to be very hard to get me to leave my Xbox Series X Controller, but this wacky design just may do it!
The Controller has a host of features, top of the line hardware built-in, and of course buttons, and for some of us, like myself, who use a controller and the keyboard, at the same time sometimes, this may be a well designed compromise.
While no prices or release dates have been announced yet, based on the Steam Deck prices, I assume the Steam Controller is going to be $100 if not $200 alone… and the other two devices are probably going to be over $1000. I honestly hope that’s not the case though…
The new Steam Hardware is expected to release in early 2026!
