The game feels like a terrible job you’ve been working for 70 years. The resources to level characters, weapons, artifacts, and talents are absolutely insane. Prior to deletion, I left off getting the Traveler (Anemo) and Jean to level 70 and my goodness, the grinding for talent books was INSANE!!! 25-50-100 times, even if it wasn’t it felt like it was, running the same Domain over and over and over.
Even continuing the Archon Quest felt like another 50 years had passed. The dialogue was insane and majority of the time, I finished reading before the voice delivery was done. Eventually I got tired of clicking or pressing the space bar and let it autoplay. My first time playing I deleted the game in the middle of the Liyue arc, probably for similar reasons and when I returned, I continued to the end of the chapter. It was awful…
Compared to Star Rail, having to find material in Genshin’s open world, using the interactive map online, is honestly too tiring. Like how many Dandelions for Jean or Philanemo Mushrooms for Mona do you need? I’ve seen people on YouTube hit max levels on multiple characters and the grind for me to max out level 70 was scary. I can’t imagine the horror those people went through.
