So, I’ve finished Episode Battle – Goku’s Saga, and at first during my playthrough I thought DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO was taking a different route with the story, but to my surprise, there is the main line story and deviations like the battle with Goku turning Super Saiyan for the first time against Vegeta instead of Frieza.
I have really enjoyed the story mode, it may only be some animated scenes, a few pre-renders, here and there and told slideshow style, but I wasn’t mad at it, it was actually put together very well compared to other games, *cough*, Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.
One battle stood out to me the most, in the main line story against Frieza, Episode Battle – Goku’s Saga – Chapter 2 – Super Saiyan Goku Awakens! – Planet Namek Arc, and that battle was CRAZY, it’s just your plain beat them up battle compared to other battles in the story, but this has to be the BEST one in the entire game.

I’m using the Japanese voice overs and the voice acting is insane, the music is insane, and I just love this battle so much! I actually mopped the floor with him, don’t worry he deserved it.
Also, Kami, rest in peace, was with me… Because I finally won my first ranked match with Goku (GT). Super Saiyan’s Super Explosive Wave for the win!!
Then because of the Frieza fight, and with the torn clothes outfit, I had to urge to start using Goku (Z -Mid) (Super Saiyan), to remind me of the Golden Age PlayStation 2 days and won two back to back matches putting my record at 3-10.
I can officially go pro now right? Just kidding, just kidding…
