The original Super Saiyan Goku, we have seen many variations of the character over the course of many games, but I consider one design to be the best.

Going off my previous article, I’m reminiscing once again.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Super Saiyan 1 Goku, the torn up Frieza Saga version, is the best SS1 design by far. My man’s hair isn’t even lined, it’s just a straight glow, back then and even now something about that low poly yellow glowing 3D Model was insane.

When I look at the recent trailer for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO and compare the two models I’m actually disappointed…

Yes, Goku is all high resolution now, but something about the new model just isn’t hitting the same. It’s almost like the rage or roughness got toned down, like you could feel Goku’s anger in the Budokai Tenkaichi 2 model, but this one is like, eh.

Despite this though, I still have high hopes for Sparking Zero. I hope it doesn’t turn into the tragedy that was Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections
