Last week, I wrote an article called, The Absolute Horror of Genshin Impact’s Grind. In the article I was basically bashing the game and comparing it to Honkai: Star Rail, both made by Hoyoverse. Star Rail is no exception, the grind gets ridiculous, but it’s better than Genshin and it’s not even close.

Make no mistake though Star Rail has some of the same issues as Genshin, as it takes an insane amount of time farming for resources, but the game isn’t open world, it’s more compact into various areas. Combine that with 2X speed, AUTO PLAY during combat and we have a literal masterpiece.
The story boss battles are also insane! Cocolia, Mother of Deception is the best boss fight I’ve EVER played, currently in recent memory. I’ve played against like 3 story bosses in Genshin, they were all lackluster and don’t even compare.
In Star Rail I have 2 characters completely max out at level 80, max relics, max traces. Trailblazer (Preservation), Steele, and Yukong are my favorite characters. I really don’t have any favorite characters in Genshin…
Have you seen where this has been going yet? You could chalk it up to me getting older, being 27 and all, but that’s another story, involving the gaming industry as a whole…
